Place aux compétences (PAC) is a non-profit organization that acts as a support structure for Francophone schools in New Brunswick. It helps students discover their interests and develop skills through projects in various fields, such as entrepreneurship, technology, trades, nutrition, physical activity and literacy.
The goal of the application was to contribute to the development of an entrepreneurial culture in youth via entrepreneurial projects for students in kindergarten through grade 12, in each of the Francophone schools in New Brunswick.
The contribution supported the development of entrepreneurial projects in the 93 schools of New Brunswick’s three Francophone school districts. More specifically, 18 entrepreneurial projects were selected (six per Francophone school district) and promoted as UNI-supported projects. The chosen projects were carried out in the following areas: environment, literacy and entrepreneurship.
UNI’s involvement has enabled entrepreneurial projects in all Francophone schools in New Brunswick. In total, nearly 12,000 students from kindergarten to grade 12 were involved in projects that inspired and challenged them.
