On January 19, 2018, Coopérative Ferme Terre Partagée was officially created, based on shared values and objectives including peasant agroecology and food sovereignty. Today, the farm continues its transition to organic and/or agroecological farming, diversifying its organic vegetable crops, raising animals with free-range, pasture-based, antibiotic-free practices, turning farm products into hot sauce and pursuing other diversification projects. The farm's Festival Folk Racines celebrates folk life, rural Acadia and harvest time, bringing people together and celebrating the land and the family.
UNI’s involvement
UNI is proud to contribute to the cooperative’s mission: to enable farmers working the land to earn a living with sustainable practices and achieve food sovereignty for local communities.
