To sign up for AccèsD, you must meet at least one of the following conditions: If you already meet these conditions, see the AccèsD registration page.

When you register for AccèsD, you are assigned with a temporary password, which you must change the first time you use the system and within a 5-day period

Your password must:

  • Be composed of 10 to 128 characters (letters and numbers) with at least one uppercase letter, one lowercase letter, one number and one special character (!#$%&()*+,-/:;<=>?@[|]^_`{\}~, space).
  • Be different from your last 6 passwords.

Your password can be used to log on from a computer, tablet or mobile device.

Your password is different from your debit card PIN (personal identification number), which has 5 characters and is used only for ATM or direct payment transactions.

  • Click Log on, enter your username and click Go.
  • On the next page, click on Forgot your password?

If your username is your debit card number, you'll get your security code by text message or email or by calling 1 877 722-2343 or from outside Canada +1 514 257-2001.

Enter the 6-digit security code, then answer the security question. You can then create a new password.

If you have trouble getting a new password, call 1-877-722-2343 or from outside Canada +1 514 257-2001.

To change your AccèsD password, do as follows:

  • Log on to AccèsD with your current password.

Click on Change and follow the instructions.

The enhanced log-on procedure acts on 2 levels. Every time you want to log on to AccèsD or AccèsD Affaires, the system will recognize the computer you are using.

If we detect that you are trying to log on from a computer other than your usual computer, we will ask you one of your personal questions. If you answer the question correctly, we will display your image and personal phrase on the screen where you must enter your password.

The image and personal phrase you have selected when configuring your security settings will ensure that you are logged on to the genuine AccèsD or AccèsD Affaires site.

You can look up or modify your security settings through Configure security settings under User file in AccèsD or through Configure security settings under the Personalize tab in AccèsD Affaires.

Never enter your password if either of these elements is missing!

Because you're the only one to know the answer to your personal question, unauthorized attempts to log on will be prevented.

You can look up or modify your security settings through Configure security settings under User file in AccèsD or through Configure security settings under the Personalize tab in AccèsD Affaires.

UNI will only ask your personal questions when you're logging on to the genuine AccèsD site or AccèsD Affaires site and never by email, phone, mail, fax or other.

Questions are developed to minimize the chances of forgetting the answers because they all refer to personal events that took place at a specific time in your life. A sophisticated recognition mechanism is implemented to minimize the number of common errors that can happen when you enter your answer.

For example, the system would consider "Saint-Paul", "St-Paul" and "St. Paul" as equivalent answers.

However, if you do not answer a question correctly 3 times in a row, your AccèsD password or AccèsD Affaires user code will be suspended as a precaution. You will then have to contact us to reactivate your access.

Click Profile and preferences icon in the right-hand menu, under Security settings.

Yes, you can use several computers that will be part of your log on habits. The system might ask you a personal question when you're using a non-usual computer, if the browser doesn't save the cookies or if they're deleted.

Yes. Log-on habits are related to the AccèsD card number or AccèsD Affaires user code rather than the computer. Therefore, your personal computer could be your usual log-on source and be a non-usual log-on source for a friend using your computer for the first time. In such case, we might ask your friend one of his personal questions in order to verify his identity.
