Candidate selection process
The Election Committee must ensure that candidates meet the requirements of existing legislation and the Caisse's by-laws. Skills are assessed by an independent firm to better reflect applicable good governance standards and practices.
All candidates must participate in an exhaustive selection process during which they must complete various questionnaires about their skills, integrity and knowledge of financial institutions under federal juridiction, in addition to submitting to an interview with the independent firm based on thirteen (13) areas of expertise in value creation, monitoring and control as follows :
Three (3) Board positions:
- Northeast Area: one (1) vacant position
- Northwest Area: one (1) vacant position
- Southeast Area: one (1) vacant position
Applications are evaluated based on the board's current needs, regulatory requirements, and the criteria set out in the administrative regulations. It is important to note that some applications may not be selected if they do not meet the criteria established for the current year.
However, UNI reserves the right to retain applications that are not selected for future vacancies, as the skills sought may vary from one year to the next.
Term: Three (3)-year term
