SAVINGS

Pack your bags for the trip of a lifetime

Planning or dreaming about a trip? Then you need to start saving! We have products that can help make your plans or dreams a reality in no time.

Hop ‘n S@ve

Available with the Mobile Services application and AccèsD Internet, The Hop ‘n S@ve instant savings tool allows you to build your savings effortlessly. Simply decide on an amount to put aside, and you’re off! Click, transfer, save and achieve your goals.

My savings plan

This savings method, designed exclusively for our members aged 12 to 30, helps you achieve your ambitions. How does it work? You set a savings goal, program your periodic transfers, and ask for support from a loved one to reach your goal faster. The interest rate of 0.75% is fixed, but the interest is subsidized each year and will help you reach your savings goal. In addition, it’s eligible for registered savings plans (e.g. RRSP, TFSA) and non-registered plans.

TFSA

Here’s an ideal savings tool for your next travel adventure. Designed for people aged 19 or older, it helps you save money and pay less tax. Drop by a branch to find out how a TFSA could give you wings.

FINANCING

Affording your vacation

Ready for adventure? Whether it's been years in the making or the spur of the moment, we have the tools to help get you there.

Personal loan

Here’s an effective way to finance a trip in whole or in part. Your loan payments may be spread over several years, depending on the amount. You can also repay it in whole or in part before the deadline, with no penalty.

Line of credit

You decide when to leave, where to go and how to get there. A pre-approved amount allows you to travel wherever and whenever you want and decide on the pace of repayment, while the line of credit also offers you a safety net during the trip.

CREDIT CARDS

In case of unforeseen expenses

You’re finally off! But uh oh, your suitcase didn’t follow you. You never want these things to happen, but a credit card can be very useful in case of major problems or small hassles that crop up during your trip.

Here are a few cards that provide travel rewards. The options don't end there! Check the PDF for an overview of all of our travel credit cards, as well as information on the privileges and services cardholders are entitled to.

Counting in every language

It’s always useful to carry a little money in the currency of the country you’re visiting, for everyday expenses such as tips, transportation, lunches, etc. For this reason, UNI offers a currency change service. However, certain currencies require time to obtain and involve administrative fees, so remember to order them a little while in advance.
