UNI named one of Atlantic Canada's Top Employers
Thursday, January 09, 2020
UNI has started 2020 off strong by yet again making the prestigious Atlantic Canada’s Top Employers ranking.
For over a decade, the competition has highlighted employers who successfully attract and retain talented employees. It recognizes employers in Canada’s four Atlantic provinces that stand out in their industries by offering exceptional workplaces.
“As a financial cooperative, our mission is to contribute to the vitality of our members and their communities,” said UNI CEO Robert Moreau. “I would like to thank our 1,000 employees for their enthusiasm and commitment to this mission. Their well-being is reflected in their dedication to serving our clients and their involvement in the community.”
“In this digital age, the future of our business hinges on quality client support. UNI’s employees will be the driving force behind our strategic growth,” Mr. Moreau added in response to the publication of the ranking.
A number of criteria were considered in assessing the candidates, including physical environment, work and social atmosphere, health and financial benefits, remuneration, vacation and holidays, communication with employees, performance management, training and skill development, and community involvement. Employers were compared to other organizations in the same sector to determine which offered the most progressive and forward-thinking programs.
