Atlantic Canada's Top Employers for 2026: At UNI, excellence begins with a human story Achille's

Caraquet, March 24, 2026 For the fourth consecutive year, UNI has been named one of Atlantic Canada’s Top Employers for 2026, as announced this week by Mediacorp Canada Inc.

When Achille Kouevi-Koko first walked through UNI’s doors, he felt he was entering a workplace where people can truly grow. From his very first conversations, the human resources team and his managers supported him every step of the way, including throughout the process of renewing his work permit.

He says he feels heard, valued and encouraged to keep developing professionally. “Every idea I share is taken seriously, and our senior leadership is open and accessible, creating a genuine sense of belonging,” said Achille, who has been working as an integrated Risk Management Advisor at UNI for about fifteen months.

This deeply human culture is key why UNI ranks among the top 50 employers in its industry across Atlantic provinces with a culture tailored to the needs of their employees and communities.

For Chief Executive Officer Eric St-Pierre, this recognition belongs first and foremost to the teams. “Every day, they help make UNI a workplace where mutual support, cooperation, and commitment to our members and clients, as well as our communities take on their full meaning. It is this culture we are building together that is being recognized, and it confirms what we already know: our strength lies in our people,” said Eric.

Achille’s story perfectly reflects what UNI offers: a place where people can grow, learn and truly find their place. More details are available online in the official edition of Canadastop100.com, as well as on its job-search platform, Eluta.ca.
