Camille Thériault is awarded the Ordre du mérite coopératif et mutualiste canadien

On June 28, 2011, the President and CEO of the Mouvement des caisses populaires acadiennes was awarded the prestigious Ordre du mérite coopératif et mutualiste canadien during the gala that took place inHalifax,Nova Scotia. Established in 1959, its goal is to publicly acknowledge people who have brought an extraordinary contribution to the mouvement coopératif canadien.

The decoration of member in the first degree is awarded preferably to a person who has contributed to the Mouvement coopératif on the provincial level. Any person having shown exemplary service to the Mouvement coopératif francophone, in ideas or actions, is eligible for this award.

Mr. Thériault has received this award because of his impressive track record with regard to cooperation. He is therefore recognized for his involvement in several causes, his interest in the community, philanthropic causes and his involvement on several boards of directors through the years, as well as his commitment toward cooperation and politics. With his exemplary dedication, Mr. Thériault has contributed to his province’s notoriety in the cooperative scene inCanada.
