Défi Golf Acadie donates $50,000 to the Fondation
15th edition of Défi Golf Acadie was held on July 12 at the Grand Falls Golf Club. Défi Golf Acadie is a fundraising activity, of which all proceeds go to a charitable organization in the province. Since it first started, this tournament has been held in different regions of the province, in order to give donations to various organizations, for a total of $374,000.
This year, thanks to the generosity of participants and partners, Défi Golf Acadie has collected $50,000, which was donated to the Fondation des caisses populaires acadiennes.
For over 25 years, the Fondation has been committed to supporting New Brunswick’s education sector, through scholarships and educational projects.

- Over $1 million donated to the cause of literacy since 2005
- An essential partner in literacy centres
- More than 15,000 books given to children since 2005
- 2,300 Roland et Monsieur Crapaud albums given to children in 2011
- Reading kits of the Lire, découvrir et grandir literacy program
- The annual Moi, j’aime la lecture contest
- 310 employees taking part in Legs for Literacy Race since 2009
