The Caisses populaires acadiennes opens ultramodern new business location on Moncton campus

Moncton, October 9, 2013 – Under the memorandum of understanding signed in May between Université de Moncton and the Caisses populaires acadiennes, a business location was officially opened today at the Pavillon Léopold-Taillon on the Moncton campus. 

“Given the highly competitive landscape, our Mouvement has been forced to make major changes over the last five years, so it’s gratifying to see that our business development and partnership building efforts are paying off,” said Mouvement president and CEO Camille H. Thériault.

Under the partnership, the Caisses populaires acadiennes manages Université de Moncton’s business account. Not only will financial services now be available at the Moncton campus, but the Edmundston and Shippagan campus will also have closer ties to the caisses in their respective regions.

“This new service contract comes on top of the many productive partnerships already in place with the Fédération des caisses populaires acadiennes. It is therefore with great pleasure that Université de Moncton welcomes the new services offered by the Fédération des caisses, a financial institution that is a great source of pride to Université de Moncton and Acadia as a whole,” said rector and vice-chancellor Raymond Théberge.

The new business location has a finger on the digital pulse, with a proactive service offering adapted to the mobile needs of its student clients and a staff well versed in new technologies.

The new location offers a relaxed environment and an inviting reception area. Digital technology is literally at your fingertips in the paperless sitting area, with tablets available for self-service transactions. The space is also equipped with touch screens to make it easy for students to visit the Youth section of acadie.com or access online newspapers and magazines. The business location boasts a modern design with abundant open space and carefully thought-out lighting—in short, a proud addition to the Caisses populaires acadiennes family.
