The winners of the 2012 Antonine-Maillet-Acadie Vie Literary Award are revealed

The Antonine-Maillet-Acadie Vie Literary Award has announced the names of the winners of the 2012 Annual Award and the Richelieu Youth Award during its fourteenth award ceremony.

The Annual Award was won by France Daigle for her novel Pour sûr, published by Éditions du Boréal. The award recipient has received a certificate, a bronze medal engraved with her name, as well as a $4000 grant. The Richelieu Youth Award was awarded to Miriam Farhloul for her collection of poetry Sept regards sur l’identité. The award recipient has received a certificate and a $1000 grant.

The award recipients in both categories were announced during the official award ceremony which was held, for the third consecutive year, during the Salon du livre dela Péninsuleacadienne, on Friday, October 4, 2012, at the Centre Rhéal-Cormier in Shippagan.  

 

2013 Literary Contest

Starting on Monday, October 8, 2012, the promotion for the 2013 literary contest will begin.  Authors are invited to submit their literary work, from now until December 31, 2012, for the three awards of the contest, as the Quinquennial Award, the Annual Award and the Richelieu Youth Award. About the Antonine-Maillet-Acadie Vie Literary Award

Established in 1998 as part of the 50th anniversary of the foundation of Acadia Life, the Antonine-Maillet-Acadie Vie Literary Award aims to recognize Acadians who, by the quality of their literary work, contribute to highlight and promote the Acadian community throughout the world.

Since 1999, the Literary Award has awarded $79,000 in grants to 29 Acadian authors, recognized for the excellence of their work, to help them pursue their passion for creative writing.
