UNI and its client members contribute to the magic of Christmas

The pandemic has created a number of challenges for food banks, including food shortages and a decrease in volunteers and financial support. Centres for victims of violence have also had to adapt to better reach and support families in this time of increasing demand and isolation.

On behalf of its client members at the end of a year like no other, UNI Financial Cooperation would like to provide concrete help to organizations and their leaders so that they can continue to work small miracles on a daily basis. UNI will therefore be donating $102,000 to the 34 food banks and centres for victims of violence in its service area.

“With this contribution, we hope that these organizations will continue to work the magic of Christmas by providing sufficient food for those in need, by giving families respite and calm and, most importantly, by spreading a little hope. This gesture brings to life our core values of solidarity, responsibility and courage,” said Robert Moreau, Chief Executive Officer.

UNI and its client members would like to thank the leaders and volunteers who work hard to meet these demands and who reach out to those in need throughout the year.
