UNI Financial Cooperation enhances its governance

Edmundston, April 22, 2025 – During the annual general meeting held at the Edmundston Convention Centre, UNI Financial Cooperation’s members approved changes to the composition of their Board

of Directors.

From now on, the Board will be composed of fourteen (14) directors as follows: nine (9) elected by the members and five (5) appointed through an independent process based on specific areas of expertise.

"UNI operates in a dynamic environment. The addition of expert candidates to the Board of Directors complements the existing skills," said the chairman, David Losier. "As a member of the board, each director plays a key role in UNI's strategic direction to achieve its vision and mission aligned with its strategic plan," concluded Mr. Losier.

The newly appointed members are:

Martin Brunelle

Strategic leader with over 30 years of experience in financial services and cooperative governance. He brings solid expertise in governance, risk management, and financial innovation.

Marthe Lacroix

An actuary by training and a certified corporate director, she is an expert in risk management. She has extensive experience in insurance and compliance in the financial services sector.

Pierre Michaud

A CPA, CGA, he has over 20 years of expertise in finance, risk management, and governance. He has in-depth knowledge of the operations, values, and principles specific to the cooperative model.

The elected or re-elected members are:

Neil Vibert | First term

Roland T. Cormier, re-elected | Third term

Guy Ouellet, re-elected | Third term
