UNI RECEIVES ATLANTIC CANADA'S TOP EMPLOYERS AWARD
Caraquet, NB — Tuesday, March 26, 2024 - UNI receives the award as one of Atlantic Canada’s Top Employers, recognizing the corporate values of our financial cooperative. This distinction honours 50 employers in the Atlantic provinces that lead their industry, those whose culture is tailored to the needs of their employees and communities.
Employers are compared with other organizations in their field to determine which offers the most cutting-edge programs. The evaluation is based on eight criteria including workplace, work atmosphere, benefits, holiday and time off, workplace relations, performance management, training and skills development and community involvement.
“Our employees are at the heart of what we’re all about,” says President and CEO Camille H. Thériault. “They share our corporate values, and it is thanks to the solidarity of our resources, their loyalty and commitment that we are what we are today,” Thériault explains.
The key factors that earned UNI a spot on this prestigious list include:
- Encouraging our employees to recruit by offering referral incentives;
- Supporting the continued learning and development of our employees by subsidizing fees for courses directly and indirectly related to the employee’s position, as well as financial incentives for completed courses and certifications.
- Giving employees the opportunity to present financial education awareness sessions to students in schools, and providing $150,000 annually in scholarships to support New Brunswick post-secondary students.
The winners of the Atlantic Canada’s Top Employers 2024 award were announced by Mediacorp Canada Inc. For more details, visit: https://issuu.com/ct100./docs/ac2024-magazine
