Canada Post Rotating Strike: Taking Action Together

Updated December 19, 2024

Since Tuesday December 17, Canada Post employees have been back at work. However, delays in mail delivery may still occur in the short and medium term.

Account statements for October and November will be issued as of December 19, but may arrive at different times.

All contractual obligations, including financial ones, remain valid despite the challenges caused by the situation at Canada Post. It is therefore important to make your payments on time to avoid any inconvenience.

November 15, 2024

The labour conflict at Canada Post has entered a new phase, with a rotating strike affecting mail service across the country beginning November 15. Although the strike is only rotating at this time, service disruptions could still result.

Be ready for any eventuality:

    • Manage your account anytime, anywhere!
    • Access online documents (transactions, fees, loans, etc.).
    • Make transfers, pay bills, pay down your line of credit, and much more.
  • Sign up for online statements to access your banking transactions any time, while reducing environmental impact. Click on the tutorial for guidance.

To offset any inconvenience caused by delays affecting mail delivery, we encourage you to take appropriate measures to offset any potential impact on your regular transactions and payments.

The following are some of the options available to you:

  • Make arrangements with your service providers to receive your bills and statements by e-mail or find out what other options they offer.
  • Contact the government agencies or other entities from which you receive regular cheques or payments to find out if it is possible to register with them for direct deposit so that the funds you are expecting can be put directly into your account.

  • Register for my Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) file and have access to your tax slips at all times.
